“SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, WHY?” Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s photo-exhibition

Օn November 11, 5 PM at Moscow Cinema the opening of a renowned French producer and photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, WHY?” photo-exhibition will take place.

The exhibition is organized in frames of the SunChild 6th International Environmental Festival, by the FPWC.

This exhibition presents the environment and social challenges of today’s world that are shaping the world of tomorrow. This exhibition is launched by the GoodPlanet Foundation and chaired in collaboration with Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy of French. The exhibition is resolutely focused on respect for human diversity  and natural resources.

The exhibition is held in Armenia by the honorable support of the French Embassy  in Armenia.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been interested in nature and wildlife since early age.
In 1976 he moved to Kenya. He lived amongst the Maasai tribe for 3 years to study the behaviour of lions’ family and took daily pictures of them during those years. He thus discovered a new passion for photography and the beauty of landscapes when observed from above in hot air balloons. He understood the power of image and how to communicate using this means.

He discovers the world from the sky, and engages in aerial photography because it reveals another reality of a territory and its resources.

He is the author of famous documentaries Home and Human, which premiered in Yerevan respectively in 2009 and 2015, in the framework of the SunChild 5th International Environmental Festival.
