Kiwi vegan cafe: falafel making

Representatives from Tbilisi’s famous Kiwi eco-cafe will tell us about the founding and development of the cafe, and will answer questions.
During the meeting, a falafel cooking masterclass – a favourite among vegetarians, a dish from traditional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine – will also be made. The workshop will be conducted by the chef at Kiwi Cafe, Anton Zavarkin.
The workshop is organised in frames of the SunChild 6th International Environmental Festival with the partnership of “Hartak” initiative.
The entrance is free.
The working language is Russian, (will be English and Armenian whispering translation if it needed).
The SunChild 6th International Environmental Festival will take place from 11th to 14th of November in Yerevan.
The grand opening ceremony will take place on November 11, 17:00, in “Moscow” cinema, Blue Hall.

Kiwi cafe is a non-profit cafe which aims to promote a vegetarian lifestyle in Georgia. The cafe is administered with a horizontal power structure, where each employee has equal rights and an influence in management decision-making processes. All profits earned from Kiwi’s business are invested in different environmental and social initiatives, such as animal protection, participation in international events, and providing financial support to activists in difficult situations. The cafe’s members of staff are from different nationalities and oppose all forms of chauvinism and exploitation.
